What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and supervise Social Workers and Assessors

  • Champion independence and wellbeing

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Social Worker (SWE registered)

  • A “can do” attitude and collaborative spirit

We offer flexible working, manageable caseloads, and a supportive environment where you can grow your career and make a real impact.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Social Worker to join our fast-paced and evolving CAST team, part of the Front Door Service. CAST is at the forefront of innovation, moving away from process-led interventions to a dynamic, strengths-based model that places residents at the heart of everything we do.

As a Senior Social Worker, you’ll play a key leadership role — supporting the Assistant Service Manager and Service Manager in delivering high-quality, person-centred services. You’ll supervise and guide Social Workers and Social Care Assessors, manage complex cases, and act as a Safeguarding Adults Manager (SAM).

Why Join Us?

  • Career Progression: Ideal for experienced Social Workers ready to take the next step or Senior Social Workers seeking new challenges.
  • Work-Life Balance: We offer manageable caseloads and flexible working arrangements.
  • Supportive Environment: Be part of a collaborative team that values innovation, partnership working, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and supervising a team of Social Workers and Social Care Assessors.
  • Managing complex cases and safeguarding concerns.
  • Supporting the allocation and oversight of incoming work.
  • Promoting independence and personalisation in care planning.
  • Deputising for the Assistant Service Manager when required.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who:

  • Has a “can do” attitude and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Is passionate about delivering high standards of care and safeguarding.
  • Brings strong leadership, decision-making, and time management skills.
  • Values collaboration and partnership working.
  • Holds a degree in Social Work and is SWE registered.
  • Has substantial post-qualification experience in adult social care.

Essential Skills & Knowledge

  • In-depth understanding of the Care Act 2014, safeguarding legislation, and strengths-based practice.
  • Experience in supervising staff and managing performance.
  • Ability to make rapid decisions, especially in emergency situations.
  • Strong communication, IT, and organisational skills.
