Do you have an interest in how care technology can improve the lives of people living in Richmond and Wandsworth?
As a Digital Practitioner you will help teams to make the best use of care technology.and also deputise for the Senior Transformation Manager Care Technology when required. The digital team was formed in 2021 to implement our digital vision and ensure digital technology is embedded in adult social care. Technology gives us a powerful opportunity to transform how we work and deliver services, helping more people live independently and supporting us to meet the growing demand across the health and care system. Can you help support adult social care to make the best, and most cost effective, care technology connections for residents of Richmond and Wandsworth?
This is an internal secondment with the opportunity to develop new skills for staff from a range of backgrounds, the secondment will be until 31st January 2027.
About the role
- You will be responsible for providing support and training to colleagues to ensure appropriate uptake and usage of care technology and consistency in practice.
- You will promote the use of care technology through workshops, communications, and events.
- You will use analytics to monitor use, spend, and benefits, and develop documentation and reports to inform decision making and planning.
You will need to be an enthusiastic and confident communicator, with a passion for supporting and training colleagues in the use of care technology. An understanding of, or experience in, Social Care is required, as the role involves working closely with Social Workers.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- A sound knowledge of relevant social care including relevant current policies and emerging priorities
- Knowledge of developments in assistive technology and technology enabled care and the benefits for social care and health.
- Experience working in a local authority or NHS environment
- Problem solving and the ability to collate and interpret data
- Effective communication including copy and report writing
- Working collaboratively and supportively with colleagues across partner organisations, as well as with service users and their families.
