We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Social Work Manager to step into a key leadership role within our Adult Social Care Services division. If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and lead a well-established, supportive team, this could be the perfect opportunity.

About the Team

The Teddington & Twickenham Locality Team is made up of 2 Assistant Service Managers, 2 Senior Social Workers, 14 Social Workers and 4 Social Care Assessors.

We work closely with District Nurses and Community Matrons across two friendly, co-located bases in Teddington and Whitton. Both sites are easily accessible by train and offer onsite parking.

Our team supports adults aged 18+ with physical disabilities, and older residents with physical and mental health needs. We take pride in delivering holistic, strengths-based, person-centred support — and we’re known for our commitment to development and progression. Many colleagues have completed their ASYE here and chosen to stay and grow with us.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the team with energy, clarity, and compassion
  • Ensuring we meet our statutory duties under the Care Act 2014
  • Overseeing specialist assessments (e.g. MCA, DoLS, Human Rights Act)
  • Maintaining high standards across legal, policy, and professional frameworks

  • Have experience managing people, services, and resources
  • Bring a positive, proactive approach to leadership
  • Are confident in supervision, risk management, and complex casework
  • Communicate clearly and work collaboratively
