We're looking for a Senior Peer Support Worker to join, our new Adults Peer Support Team in Wandsworth!
Mind in Brent, Wandsworth and Westminster is the lead provider for Wandsworth Community Peer Support Service which is run in partnership with South West London & St George’s Mental Health Trust as part of the Transformation program. We are working with partners from the voluntary sector in Wandsworth to support people with SMI (severe mental illness) to maintain and improve their mental health and wellbeing through Peer Support. Our partners are: Wandsworth Carers Network, Together for Mental Wellbeing, Sound Minds and Mushkil Aasaan.

This is a hybrid role: much work will be community based across the borough of Wandsworth |
About the role:
- Manage and oversee the activities and work of the Peer Support Workers who have their own caseload, as part of the wider work towards the service outcomes and KPIs;
- ensure activity is recorded on system to ensure monitoring and reporting requirements are met
- to support the partnership with SWLSGT and the community partners;
- to manage a small caseload of clients with higher levels of complexity,
- deliver a wide range of support and person-centred interventions, including peer-led interventions, group support, one to one interventions and signposting
- develop a strong, positive relationship with all partners in the service, as well as wider stakeholders in Wandsworth, to help with referrals and signposting
You will be:
- Passionate about motivating and coaching people with mental health issues
- Able to support people on their journey to recovery
- Empathetic to the core values of Mind in Brent, Wandsworth and Westminster
- Ideally have experience of supervising front line workers
- Experienced in providing person-centred support through one to one sessions and through facilitating groups
- Aware of the boundaries we work within when supporting vulnerable adults
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated
- Able to work on their own initiative
