About the role
As a Social Worker in our Front Door Service, you’ll support individuals and carers accessing adult social care for the first time. You’ll carry out preventative assessments, develop support plans, and promote independence and wellbeing through person-centred practice.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Post-qualification experience in adult social care or health settings
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and local authority responsibilities
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and make rapid, confident judgments
- Commitment to high standards of service and resident-focused outcomes
- Positive, proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement
- You will be someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving environment where your strong organisational skills, resilience, and ability to manage your own caseload will be key to delivering impactful outcomes for residents.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
- Degree in Social Work (or equivalent)
- SWE registered (or equivalent)
Knowledge/Experience:
- Post-qualification experience of working in a statutory social care or health setting.
- Sound knowledge of current Adult Social Care legislation and their application in casework management
- A sound understanding of local authority’s statutory responsibility to safeguard vulnerable adults
- A comprehensive understanding of strengths-based and preventative social care.
- Evidence of partnership working to achieve positive outcomes.
