Are you passionate about supporting adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment where skills can make a real difference?

As a Social Worker in the Adults Learning Disability Team, you will support adults with learning disabilities to live independently and achieve positive outcomes. You will work directly with individuals, families, and carers to assess need, develop personalised support plans, and coordinate services.

You will join a supportive and collaborative team with access to comprehensive learning and development through the Richmond and Wandsworth Adult Social Care Academy, including structured professional development pathways.

In this role you will:

  • Work in partnership with service users, families and carers using a person-centred approach to maximise independence, wellbeing and choice.
  • Undertake statutory assessments, identify risks, and take appropriate safeguarding actions in line with the Care Act 2014 and best practice.
  • Apply social work principles, uphold professional standards, and respect diversity in all practice.
  • Maintain and develop professional knowledge, skills and reflective practice.
  • Review care packages, monitor outcomes and ensure funding and support arrangements remain appropriate and compliant with statutory requirements.

This hybrid role includes working across Council offices in Wandsworth, carrying out community visits, and working from home. You will also be required to participate in the duty rota.
